Our place of business is the Dune du Pilatwhich is an exceptional sitelocated on the Atlantic coast near Bordeaux, is the only one of its kind in Europe and the world. It is very popular with paragliders all over the world, from beginners to experts, for its atypical aspect in our practice. It's a fun way to progress at all levels, combining ground games with flight phases to improve our technical skills during take-off and landing - important moments when good dexterity and precision are essential for safe flying.
What's more, flying on the Dune du Pyla siteyou'll have a magnificent view on our coastline, the Arcachon basinthe Cap Ferret, the banc d'Arguinthe Landes forest and, of course, the Dune du Pilat (Europe's highest dune at 102m).
As I'm passionate about wide open spaces and nature, I try, through Dune Parapente, to showcase this exceptional and sensitive site when I offer our first paragliding flights. When I talk to my customers, I emphasize my commitment to protecting and respecting the environment, especially on this sensitive site.
To be able to fly on this site, you need a wind well oriented between north and west, with a good force between 15 and 40 km/h; but above all you need a slope well oriented and sufficiently high and steep. That's why we have to be even more kind to our surroundings. this fragile and sensitive playground and remind our customers how to preserve it. Because without this kindness, the future of La Dune and our business would be in jeopardy in the long term.
