Dune Parapente to create a paragliding experience on Dune du Pyla (in a pedagogical tandem) from early April to late September on the magnificent site of the Dune du Pilat (Gironde). You'll be accompanied by our qualified and experienced instructors, who will help you discover hang-gliding in complete safety.
Situated on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in the commune of La Teste de Buch, the Dune du Pyla sur Mer is one of the world's most beautiful dunes. an exceptional, world-renowned site for paragliding only 35 min from Bordeaux and 10 min from Biscarrosse Plage.
An aerological phenomenon known as "dynamic lift" regularly enables us to bring you this unforgettable aerial experience. This phenomenon, essential to free flight on the dune, is linked to the strength and direction of the wind. Dune Parapente offers several types of paragliding experience:
- The flight Cool A calm flight, ideal for discovering paragliding.
- The flight Fun a more dynamic flight for thrill-seekers (subject to availability). favorable weather conditions).
- Packages flight Silver, flight Gold, flight Premium : A flight that offers both thrills and an introduction to piloting (the HD 360° instructional video is included).

We only offer appointments when the forecasts are optimistic (we consult several weather websites daily to get the most reliable information possible).
Paragliding baptism on Dune du Pyla
We don't fly:
- When the wind is too strong
- If the wind is too light
- As soon as the wind direction is no longer suitable
- When it's raining and there's a significant risk of thunderstorms
This is why we can cancel bookings made the day before or the day of the flight (forecasts can sometimes change rapidly). False forecasts" are rare, but they can force us to cancel flights at the last minute. Slight time differences and delays are not impossible (the wind is capricious).
Please note that wind speed is directly related to the weight of the passenger we can fly (low wind = low weight // high wind = high weight).

Vertigo doesn't exist in paragliding, it's only triggered when we have a link with the ground.
Please note: for sensitive people in boats or cars, a dynamic flight of 20 mins or more is not recommended.

To make your paragliding experienceWe look forward to seeing you on the Gaillouney beach (near the blockhouses).
After parking on the PARKING du petit Nice (caution: do not park at the CAMPING of the same name) go past the first-aid post and down to the beach, head north (to the right) and walk (you'll have the ocean on your left and the dune on your right) for about ten minutes to the first blockhouse: you've arrived. If our secretary isn't there, a radio is available at the Dune Parapente flame so we can communicate with each other (we may already be in the air).
